Women's work and financial wellbeing

As we pass the anniversary of Australia's initial COVID lockdowns, it has been a year of significant challenge and change.

Ecstra's recently published Impact Report charts our progress helping to build the financial wellbeing of Australians. This includes our rapid response funding to community organisations providing vital support to consumers during the crisis. Our partnerships also focus on organisations committed to ensuring that those most impacted by recent events are not left behind in the economic recovery.

We have distributed 113 grants to 104 organisations across our four impact areas focused on Education, Communities, Consumer Care and Collaboration. Our report highlights the diverse approaches that our grantees apply to building financial wellbeing across local communities, regional hubs and at a national level.

Reflecting on our first two years of operating, we deeply appreciate the generous knowledge sharing and expertise of many individuals and organisations. There are many opportunities for genuine collaboration ahead and we look forward to helping create a shared agenda for building financial wellbeing for all Australians.

Supporting women

Ecstra is committed to building the economic security and wellbeing of women through our partnerships. On International Women's Day Grattan Institute released their report Women's work: The impact of the COVID crisis on Australian women. MoneyGirl kickstarted their financial independence program for 100 young women and the Sydney Community Foundation launched Women's Work, a powerful four part video series diving into money issues women face.
