Our impact

Ecstra will use our four action areas to work with the community, consumer groups, government, education and private sectors to build on the Australian evidence based approach to financial capability.

There are many excellent research papers, reports and evaluation resources published regularly. We want to ensure “What Works” outcomes and impacts are shared widely (as well as what does not work…) in Australia and internationally. A shared approach leads to less duplication, a stronger evidence base, shared learning and better financial capability outcomes.

Ecstra will take a collaborative approach to our grant making, whilst administering the project grants awarded by Financial Literacy Australia prior to December 2018. Here are a few practical examples of the impact improved financial capability has made in diverse communities. We look forward to sharing more stories as we grow.
